As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

  • Set schedule: Sun- Tue 5am-5pm Wed 5pm-11pm (42 hours per week)
  • Shift 2: Wed 5pm- 5am Thu- Sat 11pm- 5am ( 42 hours per week)

Responsibilities of Tactical Security Guard

  • Supervise, train, and oversee Security Officers assigned to the campus, with a strong focus on operational excellence.
  • Respond to incidents and emergent situations, coordinating with hospital leadership and local law enforcement as needed.
  • Assist in sensitive internal investigations and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Implement proactive processes and procedures to enhance departmental performance and security outcomes.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with hospital staff, leadership, and external partners.
  • Ensure proper documentation and distribution of security-related information in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Demonstrate GardaWorld’s commitment to service, professionalism, and safety.

Qualifications of Tactical Security Guard

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Prior law enforcement, corrections and/or military experience required.
  • Valid Arizona Armed Guard Card.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CPR (adult, child, infant), AED, and basic first aid certifications.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Willingness to complete medical screening and criminal background check.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain composed and make sound decisions in high-stress, patient-sensitive environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience conducting and documenting security investigations.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments within established guidelines.
