Join GardaWorld, the world’s largest privately-owned security services company, and play a crucial role as a Workforce Investigator. Based at our Washington, DC office, you’ll be supporting the security activities of background investigations in the Corporate Security and Resiliency Offices. WFI is responsible for ensuring that all Contractors, Consultants, and full-time employees clear the Corporate Security background investigation process. WFI will be considered as a "subject matter expert" (SME). Your Responsibilities

  • The WFI is expected to be a self-starter to work with little to no supervision.

  • Must be able to successfully engage, balance and execute multiple projects/assignments simultaneously accurately and timely.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills are a must. Able to effectively identify, execute troubleshooting techniques, resolve issues, ensure accurate processing and identify related issues in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Have the aptitude to execute troubleshooting issues, track the progression of requests issued outside the normal guidelines that require workarounds to complete.

  • Perform root cause analysis, devising proper corrective action and communicating this action with all concerned parties.

  • The WFI is responsible for a full range of activities which ensure the operational effectiveness and excellence of the business unit.

  • Conducting physical investigations, camera review, running badge reports, report writing, interviewing, fact finding, etc.

  • Reviewing submitted background investigations from vendors to the client, ensuring that all proper paperwork has been submitted for them to be cleared for onboarding.

Your Qualifications:

  • At minimum, the candidate must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in Security, Criminal Justice, Business, Emergency Management or related field and at least 1-year experience

  • Associate's degree in Security, Criminal Justice, Business, Emergency Management or related field and at least 3 years’ experience

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
