As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

What’s in it for you:

• Schedule: Selected individual will need to have open availability to work mornings, evenings, and overnights. Weekends and holidays are required.. They will serve as armed supervisor primarily and an armed officer secondarily when needed. When in the officer role the rate will be $32.45. When in the supervisor role the rate will be $38.46.

Responsibilities of Tactical Security Guard

• Excellent customer service is always your top priority.
• You observe, survey the area and provide reporting on activity at your assigned location.
• You provide rapid response in critical situations.
• You’re good with reading and writing detailed reports.
• You know when and how to enforce customer procedures, regulations and standards.
• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Per contractual agreements with our clients, your professional background must include the minimum of the following in order to be hired:

• You have a high school education or equivalent (GED). Or a college degree/transcript
• You’re able to ace (and pass) an extensive background screening and drug test screening process
• You are at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements.

• You’re good with reading and writing detailed reports.

*Required qualifications for this position*

• You have a high school education or equivalent (GED)
• You have leadership or management experience in a Security/ Military, and/or Law Enforcement setting of at least 3 years or more
• Must have soft skills and be able to manage various types of personalities
• Must be accountable and possess the ability to hold subordinate officers accountable.
• You have an active armed DCJS
• You are at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements,
• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive background check and drug screening process
• Effective oral and written communication skills required.
• Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office.
• Must consistently maintain an excellent uniform appearance.
• 3 or more years of US military or US police officer experience required.
• 2 or more years of verifiable armed DCJS experience required.
• Must be able to pass a physical fitness test consisting of running, push ups, and step ups.
• Must be able to pass a gun range test
• Must be able to pass baseline training and psychological exams
• First aid certification is an asset
