As a Surveillance Officer – GSOC, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position.
Other duties may be assigned
- Handle calls for service; intake of media and emergency calls
- Complete daily reporting; incident Report input and approval
- Notification elevation, upon approval; mass notification/Everbridge
- Conduct travel security reviews
- Red Tag/Hot Works reporting
- Ensure timely and effective response to incidents, alarms, notifications, calls, and other activities related to the Security Operations Center and its role as a central alarm monitoring station
- Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls from employees, outside vendors, law enforcement, and the security field force via telephone, automated alarm monitoring and radio systems
- Process and evaluate information received from all available sources, and respond with the appropriate communication and dispatch procedures
- Coordinate with Security Operations Center staff to provide necessary documentation in support of uniformed guard force activity (e.g., Officer Dispatch, Incident Reporting, etc.)
Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:
- Must pass a skills-based assessment called “Criticall”, which is administered after successful completion of the interview process.
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- Work experience must include of the following:
- Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills and ability to prepare reports
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to reach conclusions and approaches to problem solving
- Demonstrated high level of competency with advanced computer systems (e.g., hardware, software, and networks)
- Ability to communicate effectively with IT and Security Systems professionals

- Associate degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Communications, or related field
- Verifiable and successful security experience
- Professional training and/or education in one or more of the following:
- Customer service
- Dispatch operations
- Security and/or emergency services
- Documented experience and competency in the following Security Software Systems:
- Access Control/ID systems (e.g., ProWatch)
- Alarm Receiving Automation software (e.g., Onyx Works)
- Incident Management and computer assisted dispatch software
- CCTV/Video Management systems (e.g., MaxPro)
- Mass Notification systems (specifically, Everbridge)
- Business Intelligence and Travel Tracking (e.g., iJet and NC4)
- Experience in a modern 911 Call Center, Central Station Alarm Monitoring, or Dispatch Operation, Technical Security Control Room, or similar environment
- Environment: Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is expected
- Major activity: Working on PC and using telephone/radio while sitting
- Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Limited, to include some standing, bending, and limited stretching and reaching
- Must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law
