Compensation: $27.00 / hour

Shift:
Swing, 0700-15:30 Tuesday- Saturday


A security dispatch officer is responsible for receiving and assessing emergency and non-emergency calls from clients, then promptly dispatching the appropriate security personnel to the location of the incident, utilizing communication systems like two-way radios to maintain situational awareness and coordinate responses with security officers on the ground; they often monitor security cameras and alarms to identify potential issues and prioritize calls base on severity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer calls: Receive incoming calls from clients, identify the nature of the incident and gathering relevant details.
  • Incident assessment: Evaluate the urgency of each call and determine the appropriate response, where it’s a security patrol, emergency response team, or other relevant personnel.
  • Dispatching security personnel: Assign the most qualified security office to the incident based on location, skillset, and availability, providing clear instructions and updates via radio communication.
  • Monitoring systems: Actively monitor security cameras, alarms and other surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity and potential threats.
  • Maintaining logs: Document all calls, incident, and dispatched responses in a detailed log for recordkeeping.
  • Communication coordinator: Effectively communicate with security officers on the ground, providing updates and instructions as needed.

Your background:
  • You have a high school education or equivalent (GED)
  • You have 2+ years of security experience required
  • You are knowledgeable with Winteam systems
  • You have a Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • You’re able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
  • If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
  • You have a state security license and 32hr. BSIS security trainings. (Security trainings may be obtained during the hiring process.)
