Pay Rate: $31.25 / hour
Shift & Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in McLean, VA. This role involves managing all administrative human resource functions for our branch team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Candidate Management:

    • Interact positively with applicants

    • Manage applicant tracking system steps and statuses

    • Screen and interview candidates, extend job offers, conduct new-employee orientations

    • Administer drug screens and background checks

    • Schedule employee orientation and enroll in Learning Management System

    • Communicate benefits to new hires and during open enrollment

    • Review training hours reports for payroll accuracy

    • Maintain candidate records in WinTeam

  • Employee Management:

    • Build and maintain employment records

    • Manage uniform inventory and orders

    • Verify licenses and compliance

    • Issue employee name badges

    • Process terminations and respond to unemployment claims

    • Monitor driver compliance and maintain data integrity

  • Employee Relations:

    • Address employee complaints and conflicts

    • Advise on workplace conduct and behavior

    • Handle disciplinary actions and union grievances

  • Other Duties:

    • Coordinate employee engagement efforts

    • Maintain OSHA documentation and support EEO-1 reporting

    • Communicate employment law changes

    • Facilitate safety and workers compensation programs

    • Support walk-in applicants and employees


Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR management or related field desired

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume HR environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Tech-savvy with experience in various systems

  • Must be at least 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Pass an extensive screening process
