As the Security Director, you’ll be the driving force behind a high-performing team dedicated to protecting patients, staff, and visitors in a dynamic setting. More than just overseeing operations, you'll be a critical leader influencing safety, emergency readiness, and operational excellence.

  • Work Site Location: Fort Pierce, FL
  • Set Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position may require long hours and weekend work.

Your Qualifications:
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Successfully pass an extensive background screening, including criminal record checks (local, state, and federal), drug tests, skills assessment tests, interviews, and personality profiles.
  • Negative result on pre-employment drug screen.
  • Training in IAHSS, IMTALA, CPI, and Blood Borne Pathogens.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum of two years of management experience.
  • Previous experience in contract services, hospitality, military, or law enforcement is desirable.
  • Preferred certifications: CPP, PSP, and other related certifications
  • IAHSS Supervisor certification or within 90 days of employment
Your Responsibilities
Client Relations:
  • Be the primary security liaison between GardaWorld, hospital leadership, and on-site staff.
  • Own client relationships—build trust, resolve concerns, and deliver high-impact solutions.
  • Collaborate across departments (ER, nursing, admin) to ensure a seamless safety response.
  • Support patient and visitor experience with professionalism and a calm, helpful presence.
  • Lead clear communication of safety protocols to staff, patients, and guests.
Emergency Preparedness:
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans.
  • Conduct regular drills and training exercises.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services.
  • Be ready to respond to any operational emergency, ensuring timely response, efficient communications, and accurate reporting.
  • Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Implement measures to mitigate risks and enhance security.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
  • Proactively identify and address security risks, implementing measures to prevent incidents and maintain a secure environment.
Team Management:
  • Recruit, hire, and train security officers.
  • Develop and implement effective staffing schedules.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts.
  • Recommend, nominate, and distribute rewards and recognition.
  • Handle corrective actions and discipline of subordinate officers, including recommending and participating in disciplinary decisions.
Leadership and Supervision:
  • Supervise a team of security supervisors and officers, assigning tasks, scheduling shifts, and providing performance feedback.
  • Ensure officers are well-trained in security protocols, emergency procedures, and relevant regulations.
  • Lead the response to security incidents, including disturbances, emergencies, and potential threats.
  • Maintain the goal of zero safety incidents while managing a robust safety culture and program.
  • Supervise the day-to-day security service provided to the facility, ensuring service is of the highest standards.
  • Ensure that GardaWorld Security core values are integrated into all business practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of staffing schedules, payroll, and other reports.
  • Regularly review security officer schedules and staffing levels to identify opportunities for improvement.
Operational Duties:
  • Direct daily security ops—patrols, access control, and rapid incident response.
  • Manage surveillance systems and respond to alarms with urgency and precision.
  • Lead incident investigations and maintain detailed, accurate reporting.
  • Ensure equipment readiness—from cameras to comms, everything must work flawlessly.
  • Drive compliance and safety improvements through policy enforcement and best practices.
