JOB DESCRIPTION The Corporate Reception Manager will lead a reception staff team in day to day operations. This manager should be a client-focused professional, able to inspire, direct and lead a group of 3 reception staff reports. The manager should be able to be a highly effective POC for the team, able to excel in cross-functional partnerships across the company. This role plays a critical part in leading a client-facing team ensuring a smooth, secure, and safe experience for all customers while also providing support to executives and the Global Places and Security teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Accomplishes service objectives by managing staff and guiding their understanding of their role and responsibilities
- Collaborates with the client to ensure alignment on policies, processes, priorities, and performance goals
- Provides shift coverage directly for reception team as required or arranges for coverage to ensure staff receive breaks/lunches
- Maintains staff by recruiting, onboarding, training, assessing, and promoting employees
- Ensures that reception staff are on track to meet performance goals and makes adjustments based on performance data as needed.
- Motivates direct reports by providing positive feedback and the development of hard and soft skills
- Accomplishes desired results by communicating job expectations and planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
- Develops, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards
- Able to guide the team in the implementation of new technologies driving performance efficiency and effectiveness
- Defines objectives, identifies and evaluates trends and options, chooses courses of action, and evaluates outcomes
- Trains staff to ensure that reception team are able to execute their duties at a high level
- Prepares reports for internal and client management to help track service delivery as needed
- Ensures that staff have the resources they need to complete their work in an optimal manner
- Acts as a liaison with internal management and client managers by developing productive, collaborative relationships and always demonstrating professional communications
- Maintain confidentiality and represent the Global Places & Security team in a positive light through professionalism and follow-through.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds
- Excellent leadership skills and a keen ability to lead through change
- Ability to present a professional image and effectively represent the organization
- Minimally 5 years of administrative or customer service experience .
- Strong networking skills and willingness to collaborate across different teams and projects
- Ability to delegate tasks or projects and guide team members through completion
- Understand and meet the evolving needs and expectations of receptionist staff.
- Highly collaborative, taking extreme ownership, and building trust with stakeholders
- Proficiency in Google Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to possess First Aid/CPR/ERT training for emergencies
