Job Title: Accounts Receivable Analyst
Location: St Louis, MO
Position Summary:
- Weekly and monthly reports to management
- Accurately prepares, posts, verifies and records customer payments.
- Research and reconcile customer accounts including unapplied payments and misapplications.
- Records write-offs to the appropriate general ledger accounts.
- Monthly closing reviews and audits as assigned by Manager.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Effectively communicate with customers, internal and external, in a professional manner and through several mediums of communication.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to prioritize while working under tight time constraints.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, copier, and phone system.
- Ability to work independently, as well as within a team, in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers and coworkers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding basic accounting principles including debit and credit entries.
- Ability to type 35 words per minute and complete 10 key by touch.
Education and Experience:
- A minimum of an Associate Degree in Accounting. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
